Different areas of the map have different bonuses to resource production, training, research speeds, and population growth. If you tap on a spot on the County Map you will see any bonuses it has. You can also tap on other player's cities to see what bonuses they enjoy on that spot.
You can relocate your city in two ways:
- By tapping on any empty spot anywhere on the map (except the volcano) and choosing "Relocate"
- By defeating a NPC or another player in combat and, within a short period of time after the victory, choosing to 'Conquer' them
Conquering another player forces their city to relocate outside of the county they were in, it then relocates your city to the spot they were on.
Relocation is free if you have not relocated within the last hour, if you have relocated within the last hour the cost to relocate is based on both the time left in the hour and the distance you want to relocate.
TIP: Some locations on the County Map are rich in Food, Wood or Stone resources. They can be occupied by players, but when they are not, a Farmington, Woodside or Bedrock NPC city will spring up to mine them. Defeat them in combat and conquer them (relocating your city to their spot) to boost your production rates.
Tap on a "Farmington" or other player city to see what boosts they are getting from their location, maybe it's something worth fighting for.
