Do you take smug satisfaction in burning your enemies cinders while flying out of reach? Enjoy gathering copious amounts of treasure for nap times? Do you order your steak very, very, extremely well done?
We’ve got excellent news for you: DRAGONS HAVE COME TO KINGDOM MAKER!
Rise of Dragons: Part One Battle Pass
Today’s Battle Pass marks the beginning of the new three-month season: Rise of Dragons.
Players were granted an upgraded Dragon Lair on May 29. Now it’s time to get your Dragon! Charge through Battle Pass milestones to get a Dragon Egg and a Lair Key. You’ll need that Lair Key to unlock the Dragon Lair, hatch your Dragon Egg, and get a full-grown Dragon!
The faster you unlock your Lair, the sooner you can make your Dragon mighty. Each premium pass unlocks a Lair Key early at Milestone 2 and grants convenient auto-unlocking for Dragon Chests.
(It’s possible to get more than one Lair Key. If you end up with an excess Lair Key, you can redeem it to unlock treasures in a future update.)
This Battle Pass is also special because it offers a trove of empowering milestone and event rewards to level your new Dragon upquickly–more quickly than any other opportunity arriving any time soon! If you’re serious about making your Dragon as powerful as possible, there are also Rise of Dragons Launch Exclusives on the webstore during this first week of the launch celebration. Eager Dragon trainers might want to watch for other specials in the coming weeks.
While the Rise of Dragons season will continue, Part One ends on June 25 at 19:00 UTC. Don’t miss this opportunity to give your Dragon a boost and gain aerial superiority!
Commanding Your Dragon
Your Dragon will soon soar over the battlefield to rain fire on enemy troops and fortifications, but there are some things to know before you unleash the mayhem.
If you want your Dragon to fight, you must build its Dragon Rage meter until it’s full to earn a Dragon Summon. You can Attack Rapid Strike targets to build Dragon Rage and earn Dragon XP. You can have up to three Dragon Summons at a time. Also, each time you earn a Dragon Summon, you will also collect up to four Dragon Chests that are kept in the Dragon Lair. Unlocking them takes time, but each one contains a wealth of materials to level up your Dragon.
You can Summon your Dragon to any battle in progress (both PvE and PvP) to reinforce your Army with a draconic assault. Unlike a normal reinforcement, your Dragon joins the Battle at the same time as the currently fighting Army, bolstering the total power of your forces. Thus, a Dragon that’s been leveled up to match the power of your adversaries is a massive addition to your military might.
8 Tips for Dragons
Dragons are brutal on melee troops that can’t fight back, but watch out for ranged units that can retaliate.
Fight fire with fire: A Dragon is often the best weapon against an enemy Dragon.
Dragons deploy automatically on defense (which doesn’t cost a Summon!). Place your Dragon Lair strategically.
Current Bosses can't target Dragons, so take advantage of the additional firepower.
Dragons can't Conquer a City, only ground units can do that. Summon your Dragon early enough in a battle to achieve victory while enough of your troops still remain to take the keep.
Dragons can go where ground troops can’t. Try deploying them so they attack enemy positions that are hard to reach.
There’s no stopping a Dragon once it’s Summoned, so make sure you’re ready to deploy.
It’s best to go after Rapid Strike targets near your level; targets too far below your Keep Level don’t yield much Dragon Rage.
Thanks for joining us in the Rise of Dragons launch celebration. We’re working to make Kingdom Maker bigger and better than ever, so this is just the beginning of a new adventure. There are months of fun ahead that we can’t wait to share with you.
